FAQs

When is the conference?

.The conference will be held on Saturday-Sunday 10-11 June 2000. Extra activities are planned for Friday 9th and Monday 12th June.

Where is the conference?

.The conference will be held at Tokyo University of Technology, 1404 Katakura, Hachioji, TOKYO, Japan.

What kind of Presentations can I attend?

What is CALL?

.CALL is Computer-Assisted Language Learning. In other words teachers and students take advantage of computer technology (word processing, email, Internet, various programs) to assist in the learning of a language.

What is JALT?

.JALT is the Japan Association for Language Teaching.

What is CALL SIG?

.JALT has a number of different special interest groups. CALL SIGis the Special Interest Group for Computer-Assisted Language Learning.

How much does it cost?

.Please see the registration page.

Who can attend?

.Everyone with an interest in CALL is welcome. The largest group of delegates will be foreign language (predominantly English) teachers based in Japan. There will also be Japanese language teachers and delegates from overseas. You do not have to join CALL SIG to attend the conference.

Am I too advanced / advanced enough to attend?

.The conference will feature sessions at a variety of levels. The level of each session will be clearly marked in the conference handbook.
