CALL at JALT 2000
The CALL SIG Forum: CALL in Use

Anyone involved with CALL can tell you that the most common question is "What software should I use?" This demonstration will attempt to answer that question by giving CALL users a chance to share their favorites with others by demonstrating software or web pages which they use and find useful. Demonstrations follow a software fair/poster presentation mode with participants wandering the room and stopping to see software and projects which they find interesting. Software demonstrated may include both software used with students and in the office.

This forum will only work if CALL SIG members are willing to share their expertise with others. Please consider applying to show a CALL application at the forum. We are looking for:

To submit an idea, please send the following information to Elin Melchior <elin@gol.com> by October 15th, 2000.

  1. Your name
  2. Your school
  3. Your email address
  4. Your webpage address
  5. The type of presentation (recipe, CALL software, CALL websites, office)
  6. The name of the software/page/project
  7. Platform (Mac, Windows, biplatform)
  8. A brief description of what you will be demonstrating (50 words or so)

The room will be a regular presentation space. If you are demonstrating software, you will need to bring your own laptop (or a friend's). There will not be bulletin boards for posters. Presenters will be arranged around the room and participants will wander "dropping in" to see those things which interest them.
