Call for Papers for JALTCALL Conference 2024
Please accept our apologies for the long delay in setting up the online submission system for the JALTCALL Trends journal, the outlet through which the post-conference papers from the JALTCALL 2024 Conference will be published.
It is my pleasure to inform you that we are now ready to accept submissions. You can upload you paper by clicking “submit to this journal” on the website below and then following the instructions:
https://www.castledown.com/journals/jct/index
Even if you have already submitted your manuscript via email previously, please make sure that you also submit it using the submission website.
Please also note that this is a brand new submission system for our newly launched journal. We therefore appreciate your understanding if you encounter any technical difficulties during the submission process. In that case, please let us know so that we can clear up any problems promptly.
There is still one week left to go before the 30 September submission deadline to finish and polish your paper. We look forward to receiving your manuscript!
Below is a list of key points from the original call for applications email for your reference:
Submissions will be reviewed through October and November and authors will also be asked to revise their manuscripts during this period. We are aiming to publish the post-conference publication as a single volume by January 2025.
In general, we recommend that articles be structured in the standard format for a research paper (i.e. introduction section including a very brief literature review, followed by method, results, discussion, conclusion sections and finally a list of references). For teaching practice or discussion papers, authors may use their own discretion in making changes to the standard paper structure.
Please refer to the separate Template document for more detailed information on the expected content, formatting and referencing style to be used in the manuscript.
A single submission should be no longer than 2,000 words, including abstracts, references and mini-biography.
All submissions will be thoroughly peer-reviewed, after which authors may be asked to revise their manuscript before the paper is accepted for publication. We strive to work constructively with authors to address any concerns identified by reviewers, but also reserve the right to reject submissions that contain serious flaws or that the editorial team deem otherwise inappropriate for the publication.
Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format. Currently, we are still working on setting up the submission system. You can expect another email over the coming weeks with details on the exact procedure to follow when uploading your paper. (In the meantime, of course, you are welcome to start working on the paper.)
The deadline for manuscript submissions will be 30 September 2024.
